What’s new

Four feature areas
Riv writing with a private local suggestion beside the note
New Improved 01

Keep writing help private and close at hand

Download a local model for next-text suggestions, format selected text without leaving the editor, or preview an AI-formatted note before replacing the original.

  • Accept one local suggestion word or the full completion
  • Use Markdown actions and optional AI rewrites from the selection toolbar
  • Format a full note as Markdown with a preview-first replacement flow
  • Get contextual help for links, emoji, code fences, spelling, and wikilinks
  • Use the contextual toolbar by default or turn the persistent toolbar back on

New Improved 02

Choose a theme and keep Markdown readable

Apply one of seven full-app themes, see more Markdown task states at a glance, and keep richly presented code blocks editable in place.

  • Choose Default, Classic, Nord, Kanagawa Lotus, Dracula, Solarized Dark, or Catppuccin Mocha
  • Render progress, priority, ideas, bookmarks, questions, and other extended task markers
  • Show code language icons, titles, line numbers, and a copy button

New 03

Inspect note history and connect read-only tools

Compare a synced note with an earlier revision and restore it as the newest version, or expose note listing, search, and reading through a token-protected local MCP server.

  • Restore an earlier revision without removing later history
  • Keep protected notes and Ariv internal files outside local MCP access

New Improved Bug fix 04

Review sync before it changes files

Sync now shows the exact local folder, cloud vault, transfer size, and risky paths before connecting. Unsafe merges stay blocked, interrupted setup remains recoverable, and deletion choices are explicit.

  • Resolve preserved conflicts by keeping yours, theirs, or both
  • Review 14 days of transfers, conflicts, deletion choices, and recovery actions
  • Commit initial uploads atomically after the reviewed preflight
  • Choose whether each local or cloud deletion propagates or is restored
  • See pending scans, uploads, conflicts, and recovery work instead of a false synced state
  • Recover interrupted runs, renames, backups, and pulled file updates against the verified folder
  • Sign out without leaving stale sync locks for the next session
